Do you know where the coffee in Papua New Guinea originated? The seeds (Arabica typical) were brought to PNG in the 1930’s from Jamaica by the then British Administrators. They were planted at 5000 ft. above sea level where the climatic conditions are the same as the Jamaica Blue Mountains. (The range of altitude for Blue Mountain Coffee is between 3000 and 5500 ft.)
