Spicy Sorrel Relish

  •  2 large Onions
  • 1 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 tsp Olive oil
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 bottle 7oz. Walkerswood Sorrel Chutney or other Fruit Chutney
  • ½ cup Dry Red wine
  • ½ tsp Orange zest
  • Chopped parsley or cilantro for garnish

Cooking Instructions:

Heat butter and oil in pan and sauté onions & garlic until soft.
Add a dash of salt to season then the red wine. Simmer until liquid is reduced by half, then add Sorrel Chutney and simmer for 5 more minutes.
Add orange zest just before removing from heat.
Heat oil in grill pan and brown the chicken, about 3 minutes on each side, until cooked through. Serve chicken immediately with the sorrel relish.
Serve as an entrée or this chicken & relish also makes a great wrap or pita sandwich
